HEALTH SERVICE SYSTEM AND ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN THE MEKONG DELTA

Abstract

The survey results and analysis of the health service system and access to healthcare services from 400 households in the two provinces of An Giang and Ben Tre in 2023 (including remote areas, regions impacted by climate change) indicate that healthcare services in these areas have significantly improved (public heathcare, private healthcare, and charitable healthcare). Private healthcare services are developing more rapidly and are utilized more frequently by the population compared to public healthcare services.
