The studied results showed that there were 1,048 samples positive with LSD virus (Capripoxvirus), accounting for 89.88%. There was a
significant difference (p<0.05) on the positive sample rate among the sample types, in which
the positive skin scale sample rate with LSD virus were the highest (96.86%), higher than the
positive blood sample rate (86.69%) and mixed sample rate (83.73%).

The rate of buffaloes and cows infected with LSD was 2.19% of the herd total. The rate of died and destroyed animals was 2.2% of the herd total in the localities suffering with the LSD epidemic, the weight of destroyed animals was 528,409 kg.
