Determine the appropriate dose of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilisers for Booth 7 avocado variety in the commercial stage grown on basaltic soil in Dak Lak province.
Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the appropriate dosage of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilisers for the Booth 7 avocado variety in the commercial stage on red-brown basaltic soil in Dak Lak province. The results showed that the formula (NPK)3 = 300 kg N+150 kg P2O5+300 kg K2O/ha/year was suitable with the variety, made its growth tend to increase, as well as attain the highest yield, reaching 21.93 tons of fruit/ha in the 2017 harvest and 23.6 tons of fruit/ha in the 2018 harvest. High fertiliser levels (NPK)2 = 200 kg N+100 kg P2O5 +200 kg K2O/ha/year and (NPK)3 = 300 kg N+150 kg P2O5 +300 kg K2O/ha/year increased fruit weight compared with the level (NPK)1 = 100 kg N+50 kg P2O5+100 kg K2O/ha/year. There was no evidence on the effect of NPK fertiliser levels on the percentage of seed, peel, flesh, and quality parameters.
