Trên cơ sở khảo cứu thực tế khối tài liệu Châu bản triều Nguyễn, thời Bảo Đại (1926-1945) hiện đang được bảo quản tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ quốc gia I (Hà Nội), bài viết trình bày 3 nội dung chính:- Sơ lược về khối tài liệu Châu bản triều Bảo Đại.- Những thay đổi của bộ máy hành chính Nam triều dưới thời Bảo Đại.- Một số đặc trưng trong Châu bản thời vua Bảo Đại.Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy tài liệu Châu bản thời Bảo Đại có một số khác biệt so với các triều đại trước, thể hiện qua văn tự, chất liệu giấy, thể thức trình bày, loại hình văn bản, con dấu và cách thức ngự phê… Sự khác biệt này cho thấy ý định cải cách triều chính của vua Bảo Đại, người được đào tạo bài bản theo Tây học. Chỉ tiếc là những cải cách ấy không thể cứu nổi một triều đại rệu rã đã nằm gọn hoàn toàn trong tay thực dân Pháp.
ABSTRACT
SOME FEATURES OF ROYAL DECREES UNDER THE REIGN OF EMPEROR BẢO ĐẠI
Based on the factual research of the Nguyễn Dynasty’s royal decrees under the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại (1926-1945) being preserved at the National Archives Center No.I (Hanoi). The article presents three main contents:- Brief of royal decrees under the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại.- Changes in the administrative apparatus of the Huế Court under the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại.- Some features of royal decrees under the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại.The results of the study show that the royal decrees under the reign of Emperor Bảo Đại were somewhat different from those of previous dynasties based on the script, paper material, lay-out, type of document, seal and royal comments. This distinction shows the intention of Emperor Bảo Đại, who was imbued with western education, to reform court affairs. Unfortunately, these reforms could not save a decadent dynasty under the French domination.
