Abstract

HƯƠNG DANH MARQUIC NGUYỄN ĐĂNG THỊNH – A RENOWNED DIGNITARY UNDER THE NGUYỄN LORDS AND TWO EPITAPHS ON HIS TOMB
Hương Danh marquic Nguyễn Đăng Thịnh (1694-1755) is one of the prominent celebrities of Huế region in the XVIIIth century. He was the teacher of the Lord Võ vương Nguyễn Phúc Khoát, the master of the plan, proposed Lord Nguyễn Phúc Khoát proclaimed king in the Year of the Rat (1744), formally contributed in Nam Hà the establishment of a Central Government who againsts the Lê Trịnh government in Đàng Ngoài, creating a unique historical milestone of Đàng Trong. However, the name of Hương Danh marquic Nguyễn Đăng Thịnh has been less interested in learning before. Therefore, we publish the article for two epitaphs on the tomb of renowned dignitary Nguyễn Đăng Thịnh, with our desire to contribute more resources and suggestions to more complete the process of learning about his life and career.
