Abstract

Model of public primary school in Southern Vietnam (1954 - 1975)
Under the regime of the Republic of Vietnam in Southern Vietnam, national education in general and especially elementary education gained a lot of optimistic achievements and worth appreciation. Meanwhile, we can’t ignore the appearance and activities of the public primary school, its model had local features and lots of factual values. Nonetheless, in fact, the activities of that primary school still got awkward, mistakes and it could not achieve expected educational aims. Through different historical sources, this research would like to introduce on its system which used to be existant in Southern Vietnam in the period of 1954 - 1975, to consider as a worthy reference resource which is relevant to educational reform.
