Abstract

INITIAL RESEARCH INTO BOOK PUBLISHING ACTIVITIES IN HUẾ (1920 - 1935). (CASE STUDY OF ĐẮC LẬP AND TIẾNG DÂN PRINTING HOUSES)
The 1920s of the XXth century, in parallel with the traditional wood graphic printing technique, a some printing houses with modern machines formed by the private establishments, opened a new page of history for Huế printing. This article, on the basis of research some books printed by Đắc Lập and Tiếng Dân printing houses, hopes to contribute more perspectives on the environment of book publishing in Huế [1920 - 1935], and at the same time, initial evaluation of their great contribution in the historical and cultural development process of the Ancient Capital.
