Abstract

ABOUT NEW NAMES APPEARED IN TÂY SƠN FAMILY
Through surveying the change of place names under the Tây Sơn period and Quân Cơ Xứ’s (high authority Organ of Qing Dynasty) report submitted to King Qianlong, the writer pointed out some details and reasons for the change of taboo place names under Tây Sơn Dynasty which was related to the words Bình (Peace) and Phúc (Happyness) - including details that according to the author Nguyễn Nhạc also had another name was Nguyễn Phúc. Although not sure, it is hoped that this detail can contribute to learning more about the names of the Tây Sơn Family brothers through the Qing documents and further enlighten a period more than 200 years ago. There are still many unanswered mysteries.
