Abstract

China and Vietnam have always been one of the important and leading
international relations in the Vietnamese history. In the period of 1949-1954, China –
Vietnam relations was considered as the beginning of modern time between the two
countries. That period was marked by consecutive victories of Vietnamese people against
the French colonists, ending their ambition to re-domination in Vietnam. As well, the
establishment of the People’s Republic of China brought a new turning point and changed

strongly to their country. During the war against the invasion of French, Vietnam had
received the support from China. Its help aimed to increase Vietnam’s internal strength to
against the French. Obviously, the aid from China was not their kindness, but it was the
strategic aim that impacted on the cause of struggle for independence in Vietnam
