THE SITUATION AND PROBLEMS REGARDING LAND AND FOREST ALLOCATION IN KRONG NO DISTRICT

Abstract

Vietnam has released basic legal and policy framework for land and forest
allocation, which is reflected in two major laws, namely the 2013 Land Law, the 2017 Forest Law. Up to now, the FLA policy has created an important impetus to promote the development of forestry production. Most of the households have actively organized production on the allocated land, creating more jobs and improving the living standards of rural and mountainous households. With the change of views and awareness in the
decentralization of forestry management, the objects of land and forest allocation have expanded, attracting various economic sectors to participate in forest protection and development. It seems to suitable with the policy of developing a socialist-oriented multisector market economy, making an important contribution to improving forest cover and quality. Based on the qualitative research method, the article gives some overviews of the status of forest land and forest allocation in Krong No district, thereby mentioning some problems posed in the land and forest allocation in the period
