Abstract

Globalization has become an irreversible fact. Nowadays, there are more and more global problems that cannot be solved by a single country, making issues of international cooperation increasingly relevant and an inevitable choice. Therefore, nations and citizens need to develop a sense of cooperation to exploit common interests and face common threats together and use that as the basis for solving their problems, affairs and other conflicts of interest. The "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by China is expected to become a new model of international cooperation for all the countries in the world. The author analyzes the development of traditional international cooperation theories to clarify the necessity of the birth of a new model of international cooperation. Afterwards, the author analyzes the opportunities and challenges of the "Belt and Road" initiative for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and China
