Abstract

In-service training and management of in-service training for teachers are considered as key point in implementation to help teachers meet the requirements of the quality and effecitiveness of teaching in schools. There have been many researches related to this issue conducted in Vietnam and all over the world. Since the Vietnamese education programs has been enacted in 2018, the management of in-service training for teachers in general and for primary school teachers in particular has been considered as an urgent and necessary requirement. The paper focuses on studying some theoretical issues of in[1]service training and its competency-based management for primary teachers following the competency – based management as core concepts; contents of in-service training and its competency-based management for primary teachers following the competency – based management; some factors that impact on in-service training and its competency-based management for primary teachers following the competency – based management. The findings will be used as a basis for doing other researches on this issue in the future.
