IDENTIFY SHORTCOMINGS IN THE VALUATION OF INTELLECTUAL ASSETS FOR STARTUP(S) IN VIETNAM NOWADAYS
Abstract
The current state of investment in startups in Vietnam currently appears shortcomings in both intellectual property providers and potential client who exploit such intellectual assets. Intellectual property and technology owners, from research institutes, universities, enterprises and individuals at home and abroad, have limited experience in introducing, utilizing, and transferring those intellectual assets. On the other hand, potential investors have little experience in order to evaluate and utilize such intellectual assets. In such a situation, identifying inadequacies in the valuation of intellectual property and technology helps to accelerate technology transfer as well as develop the technology transfer market. It can be said that developing valuation services of intellectual property for start-ups is an important requirement, and a driving force for the development of science and technology as well as creating a breakthrough for the modernization of our country in the near future.
