COMPLETE REGULATIONS ON SOME OF THE PRIMARY PUNISHMENT IN THE GENERAL PROVISIONS PART OF VIETNAM'S CRIMINAL CODE 2015

Abstract

Completing regulations on the punishments in the General Provisions Part is a very important issue as it is the basis for the provisions of punishment in the Crime Part of the Vietnamese Criminal Code 2015, amended and supplemented in 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the Criminal Code 2015); at the same time, it contributes to improving the practical performance. On this basis, this article focuses on analyzing, clarifying some regulations on the inappropriate punishment in the General Provisions Part of the Vietnamese Criminal Code 2015. From that, the article gives some suggestions, solutions to continue completing the Vietnamese Criminal Code 2015 in the future.
