POSTPONEMENT COSTING STRATEGIES AND OPTIMIZED PATENT VALUE ACCORDING TO THE PATENT COOPERATION TREATY (PCT) – BENEFITS FOR SUBMITTING INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS FOR VIETNAMESE ENTERPRISES

Abstract

Filing an application for international patent protection is being considered by businesses in our country. The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) provides a valuable means of managing, delaying and consolidating the cost of international patent protection for a given invention. In fact, more and more Vietnamese businesses and inventors have a need to learn about the PCT Treaty, but have not fully applied the strategies to delay costs and maximize the value of invention that PCT brings. In the research, the author does not learn about (PCT), but focuses on the main content of the strategy of cost delay and maximizing patent value under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Overcoming limitations in the intellectual property law on protection of international inventions, proposing solutions for international registration applications for Vietnamese enterprises.
