Abstract

The article considers the influence of the legal system's origin on the construction of corporate social responsibility (CSR) concept. To what extent the legal system's origin created the different of CSR concepts understanding and it’s framework. The article investigates current common CSR content-based includes three components: 1) Environmental protection; 2) The promotion and protection of human rights; and 3) the rule of law and social and environmental governance.

There are opinions that CSR’s functions as “informal law”, so it is not relevant to the legal system's origin. Contra to that statement, the article aims to explore the influence of legal thinking between two legal system's origins on the CSR implementing behavior of enterprises. Hence, contribute another approach to the CSR toward the protection in human rights and the sustainable development’s standards based on the legal thinking background of each country.
