Abstract

“Hue style beef noodles” is one of the specialities of the ancient capital. A famous chef Anthony Bourdain once commented that this is the best “soup” in the world that he has ever enjoyed. After “Hue style beef noodles” has been protected under a certification mark, on 07/13/2016 People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province issued decision No.1623/QĐ_UBND on the “Regulation on  management and use of the certification mark of Hue style beef noodles”. The article investigates the current status of using and exploiting the "Hue Style beef noddles" certification mark in Hue city; thereby proposing solutions to improve efficiency in the use and exploitation, towards the goal of developing the certified trademark "Bun Bo Hue" widely throughout Vietnam and around the world, in order to protect and promote the potential value of intellectual property with elements of local specialties of Vietnam.
