USING THE EXPEDITED ARBITRATION RULES IN SETTLING INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION DISPUTES AND SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR VIETNAM

Abstract

Time and cost are the most important factors in any construction project that all subjects must focus on and consider. Using Expedited Arbitration Rules is highly expected since it can overcome the deficiency of time and cost in the procedure. This article will analyze the fundamental content of Expedited Arbitration Rules on the basis of comparing them with Regular Arbitration Rules and other Expedited Arbitration Rules in many international arbitral institutions as well as the demand for using these kinds of rules in international dispute resolution in the construction area, and then gives some recommendations for Vietnamese laws.
