Abstract

One form of international pulication is publishing book chapters in edited books. These books are usually published by prestigious publishers in the world such as Springer, Hart Publishing or Elgar Publishing. This article shares the experience of participating in writing chapters for books published internationally by reputable publishers and highlights that international publication in the form of a chapter in edited internationally published books is an activity that needs more encouragement and funding for some fields of study such as the humanities and social sciences, law and linguistics, especially in the context of higher education institutions and Vietnamese  research  institutes  need more  publications  to  affirm  their international position.
