Abstract

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always emphasized the special weight of agriculture for the country’s development, considering it the “root” of the economy. He further upheld the value of agriculture in ensuring the essential needs of food, clothing and shelter; improve the people’s life quality; promote foreign affairs and international cooperation. Ho Chi Minh’s thought on agriculture as crucial guidelines advances our Party to set out the agricultural development strategies in the cause of nation building and defense.
