Abstract

The Cham is an ethnic group in the ethnic communities of Vietnam. Cham people have acquired significant achievements: the economy uninterruptedly develops, the living standard is clearly improved, the culture bears developments, the education and training are progressive, the political and social situation is steadily stabilized, and ethnic unity is increasingly strengthened. Nevertheless, the socio-economic development is not yet commensurate with the potential and development needs of the Cham people. This problem needs to be remedied urgently, though it can not be done overnight. Through statistics counted annually within individual periods of governments at all levels, as well as on-site survey outcomes, the authors point out results achieved in specific fields in the two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, which base their observations, contributing to making clear certain factors influent on the training and use of the human resource of the Cham people.
