Competitive advantage – a theory and its appicability in Vietnam

Abstract

For developing countries, especially those including Vietnam are virtually dependent on such available advantages as natural and human resouces to enjoy growth in the recent period, one of the leading priorities is to improve their competitiveness in order to involve more broadly and in-depth in the global economy. This article attempts to analyze and clarify classic and modern theories on competitive advantages; viewpoints given by specialists on the significane of competitive advantages and their possible applicablity to Vietnam, helping Vietnam to make full use of available advantages and create new advantages in development.
