The issue of standardization of Vietnamese library-information termiology
Abstract
Library work in the past used to stand with the archival function, which has been supplemented by the documentation function and information analysis, processing, searching and dissemination activities in recent years. Documents available in library now are not only books. There have had substantial changes in activities related to library work, from target groups, contents, methods to work means, etc. These require an association of information-library work with a series of services that are more convenient and friendly to users.
Due to differentiated perception and practices, a plentty of new terms and alternations in the content of existing terms are not consistently comprehended, causing debates. This article aims to point out that the standardization of library-information is one of the urgent tasks undertaken not only by the linguist circle.

- Tác giả được phép và được khuyến khích đưa bài viết của mình lên mạng (v.d., trong các kho dữ liệu cơ quan hoặc website của tác giả) trước và trong quá trình nộp bài viết vì nó có thể đưa lại những trao đổi hiệu quả cũng như giúp tác phẩm có nhiều địa chỉ trích dẫn hơn (Xem Hiệu lực của Truy cập Tự do).
