Speaking of cultural diversification and dialogue between cultures is to connote diversified identity and the shaping of cultural identity of a nation. The literal work produced by Pham Xuan Nam examined the following essential contents: 1. Awareness on cultural diversification and dialogue between cultures. 2. Activities that created core culture values of the nation from the Van Lang – Au Lac era. 3. Cultural dialogue combined with other types of resistance in the era of Chinese domination and anti-Chinese domination. 4. Dialogue between the Dai Viet (Great Viet) culture and regional and world cultures in the Mid-age. 5. Increased interaction, exchange and dialogue between Vietnamese culture and world cultures in the near modern age. 6. Historical lessons and contemporary issues for advancement of national cultural identity, proactive engagement in dialogue between cultures in the globalizing era. Based on the above-mentioned six contents, the author depicted the most essential contents of Vietnamese culture development, especially the inception and development of Vietnamese cultural identity in the course of time.
