Impacts of market economy on the state’s societal functions execution in Vietnam today

Abstract

State is a historical norm. Since its inception, state remains a political tool of the ruling class and always has to execute its societal functions. After twenty years of implementing the renewal policy, within the context of advancing a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam, the state has a radically important role to play in adminstration and regulation of the economy. Adversely, the market economy also causes substantial multi-faceted impacts on the state and its societal functions.

In this article, having made clear of the societal functions of state as well as the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam, the author analyzes and indicates the impacts of market economy as an crucial factor on the state’s societal functions execution in Vietnam at the time being.
