Abstract

A variety of studies on culture and humanity have been conducted, though there is much needed to be done from theoretical, methodological and practical perspectives in response to the demand posed by the new development context in Vietnam, especially in the globalization era Vietnam is more actively interacting with the outside world and undertaking the national industrialization and modernization. It is argued in this context that culture and humanity have a significant role to play.

Against this background, in this article, the author attempts to clarify the theoretical foundation of cultural and human development based on an inclusive - complex dialectical system approach that reflects now and then knowledge and perception of mankind. The article sets light on the congruence in the disparity between culture and humanity; decodifies a ten-point system of humanity materialism; analyzes the impacts exerted in by the renewal and integration from a theoretical and methodological perspective commensurate with the theory of humane and sustainable development, and; puts altogether twenty relevant contents in a theoretical system, indicating both internal and external logistical aspects that might be necessary for cultural and human development in Vietnam. This could be considered a theory of cultural and human development for Vietnam in the contemporary era.
