Education and training of knowledge labor force – a lesson from reformist Meiji and China’s education and science policy for national development

Abstract

Being aware of the road and finding an effective measure of training of knowledge labor force is always a topic that draws attention from politicians, economists, historians and culturists.

This article attempts to explore the East Asian education tradition and its influence vis-à-vis the phenomenon of reformist Meiji in Japan and the ‘education and science policy for national development’ in China; at the same time, to bring about some thoughts on experience lessons for Vietnam in detecting, attracting, using and treating knowledge labor force and talents in the current period.
