190 years ago, on 28/11/1820, in Barmen city, Rhine province, German, a man whose life and career attached to the fight for human development was born, and he will live forever in mind, heart of millions of people who love freedom, peace, justice… up to now.  That is F. Engels. On the occasion of his 190 birthday (1820-2010), Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration coordinated with domestic ministries, agencies, academies and universities held a National Conference with the topic: “F. Engels – Distinguished theorist and great revolution solder in the international communist’s and workers’ movement". Steering committee received 135 speeches.

This article summarizes the main contents addressed at the Conference, focuses on issues of young years of talent F. Engels; his role and contribution to K. Marx and Marxism; meaning and value of F. Engels theoretical points toward Vietnam’s revolution.
