Fundamental Restraints of Vietnam’s Argicultural Products Entering the International Market

Abstract

Thanks to integration policies, Vietnam’s agriculture has recently made positive changes which are showcased by increasing output and export value. However, main export products are yet raw and hence low value-added materials. There are numerous reasons for this situation, which include small-scale production, limited manufacturing links, low quality, weak processing and branding. Based on a literature review of disadvantages, weaknesses and bottlenecks in international market participation, especially in developed countries, the article clarifies the issues of Vietnam’s agricultural sector in the recent period.
