Literature Review of Child Care in Vietnam’s Rural Families

Abstract

Family is where people are born and raised, where the younger generation is nurtured physically, intellectually emotionally and socially before they enter community life. Though not the only institutions that function as child-care ones, family has always been the most important environment. Over the years, family-related topics have been discussed from various aspects at different scales. However, little has yet been studied about the situation of child-care in rural Vietnamese families. The paper conducts a literature review of some aspects of child-care in rural Vietnamese families.
