Abstract

Art drawing in the sewing technology engineer training program provides knowledge, methods and skills to form professional artistic abilities such as: sensitivity to designs, lines, and colors. a good sense of the balance and proportions of the product, the skill of observation, having to know the overall look but in detail and accuracy. The working hands are both skillful but also decisive to join the very small details of the product. Students participating in the garment industry today are currently taking entrance exams mostly by the results of the natural and social subjects. The basic art-learning attitude of the students entering the garment industry is not prepared. Awareness of the subject is not high, the duration of the subject is less leading to low efficiency. For that reason, it is very necessary to research the current situation, find out the shortcomings and develop solutions to improve the quality of art painting training for students in the sewing technology industry, contributing to improving the training quality of sewing technology, a profession that is particularly interested in society.
