PROMOTING CULTURAL VALUES AND STRENGTHS IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN QUẢNG NINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Quang Ninh is considered as "Little Vietnam" with many unique cultural values. It is one of the origins of the Vietnamese working class with an invaluable spiritual legacy of "Discipline and
Unity". Quang Ninh is a place of cross culture and unity. It is also the one where King Tran Nhan Tong turned into Buddha, the generation of Truc Lam Tam To, hundreds of unique historical, tangible and intangible relics of more than 20 ethnic groups and the system of cultural institutions meeting international standards are the foundation and premise for Quang Ninh to develop sustainably. However, the investment in cultural development is not commensurate with the socio-economic development; the cultural acquisition of the people is still low as well as the difference in cultural acquisition among regions. In order to improve the situation, it is necessary to offer both short and long-term solutions focusing on human development, ensuring and improving the population, promoting cultural development, building ecological civilization, preserving natural resources and protecting the environment as the goals” and forming "dynamic, creative, generous, healthy, civilized, friendly style" of Quang Ninh people as well.
