SOME FEATURES OF WOODCUT PAINTINGS IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

The diversity of artist team leads to the diversity of styling of the Ho Chi Minh City woodcutting paintings. The wood engraving painting here not only is reflected through each cultural specificity of the city, the Southern region, but also has many themes about other regions in the country. Wood carvings in Ho Chi Minh City show a specificity of Ho Chi Minh City, which is the dynamism, the openness in welcoming new forms of expression, its adaptation and development. On the other hand, the image, language, and the pure expression, social friendliness can be seen as other features in the wood carving in Ho Chi Minh City.
