COMPARISON STUDY OF SOME BAMBOO AND CORK MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS BETWEEN THE ETHNICITIES OF VIETNAM AND CHINA

Abstract

On the basis of musical instruments introduced in books published in Vietnam and direct fieldwork in China, the author will point out the similarities and differences in some musical instruments of the two countries from the comparison multi-dimensional comparison between structural form (shape structure and principle of sound emission) and cultural characteristics (basic tone/vocal range, sound characteristics, use function....) , this study will explore and highlight the similarities and differences between ethnic bamboo and cork musical instruments, mainly of some ethnic minorities of China and Vietnam.
