Abstract
Folk music is always the mainstream approach of Vietnamese music researchers. In the North Central region (from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue), there are many diverse genres of singing and instrumental music. Typically: Thanh Hoa has Ho Song Ma, singing and dancing Dong Anh, Xuan Pha games, Nghe Tinh with Ru, Hò, Ví, Dặm, from Quang Tri to Hue, prominent figures of Ly, Hò and royal music. All create a treasure trove of energetic Vietnamese folk music created by the previous generations. The study on Vietnamese North Central folk songs modalities by music researcher Dao Viet Hung presents features and melody structural features in folk music that are monographs, with many authentic details from the process of fieldwork and actual penetration of the author (in this article we use the phrase “author” to indicate the musician, music researcher Dao Viet Hung).
