PRESERVING AND PROMOTING THAI ETHNIC CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSOCIATED WITH DOI THONG TOURIST AREA, ANG VILLAGE IN DONG SANG COMMUNE, MOC CHAU DISTRICT, SON LA

Abstract

Cultural heritage of the Thai in Moc Chau, Son La includes tangible and intangible cultural heritage. It's an invaluable asset maintained and transmitted intergenerationally in a society, refers to national cultural identity. Dong Sang commune is the primary residence of the White Thai, in which there are many typical cultural heritages of the Thai in Moc Chau. The creator also granted for this place amazing pine forests, wildflower garden, landscapes which are suitable for ecotourism. For the past years, the government and the Thai have tried to preserve and develop Thai cultural heritage and pine forest to be a tourist attraction serving domestic and foreign tourists. However, culture heritage of the Thai in Dong Sang is facing culture discolor with national identity, under the pressure of modern lives and tourist activities. Thus, it is essential to have timely and effective solutions for this as soon as possible.
