THE VALUE OF KIM HOANG FOLK PAINTING ART AND THE IDEA OF REVIVING TRADITIONAL CRAFT VILLAGES THROUGH TEACHING AND CONNECTING ART WITH HERITAGE

Abstract

Folk painting is one of the graphic art forms of Vietnamese traditional art. Features in folk paintings are expressed through lines, colors, and themes with bold folklore, clearly showing the national cultural identity, which many cultural scientists and artists, and painters are interested in and learn, study, recover, apply, manipulate. Up to now, there have been not a few studies on Vietnamese folk paintings. However, documents on folk paintings of Kim Hoang village have few works mentioned. That is a gap that needs to be exploited, researched and found a way to recover on the basis of teaching orientation by connecting art subjects with traditional art heritage.
