The defendant’s right to appealing against the verdict and decision by the court of first instance

Abstract

The article analyzes the content of the defendant’s right to appealing against the court’s judgments and decisions in Vietnamese criminal proceedings and does not mention the appeal procedures. It simultaneously evaluates the implementation of the defendant’s right to appealing in practice. Thereby, the author proposes measures to improve the effectiveness of exercising the defendant’s right to appealing against the court’s verdicts and decisions.
