Abstract
This study synthesizes and analyzes
research on motivational factors in learning
physical education according to self-determination
theory, in order to show the process of creating
motivation to improve positivity in learning.
study physical education module. Besides, it also
contributes to creating a theoretical basis to build
criteria to evaluate the current situation and
provide solutions to create positive motivation
in studying the physical education module for
students. Research results have shown 4 factors
that create motivation to improve students’
positive learning in the physical education module,
including: (1) Lecturers’ teaching behavior meets
the needs and supports psychological needs. basic
principles of students; (2) Satisfaction of students’
basic psychological needs; (3) Students’ positive
motivation in studying the physical education
module; (4) Student participation in physical
education classes.
