Abstract
Through a research study
assessing the physical fitness development of
students at the University of Saigon
participating in extracurricular sports
activities, it was found that after 12 months of
implementing extracurricular solutions to
enhance physical fitness, significant progress
was observed in the physical fitness of the
students compared to their initial assessments.
Specifically, three tests were rated as "good"
(Standing Broad Jump, 30m Sprint, Sit-ups per
30 seconds), while one test was rated as
"satisfactory" (5-minute Endurance Run). The
number of students achieving "good" and
"satisfactory" ratings increased, and the
proportion of students rated as "not
satisfactory" decreased compared to the control
group, despite both groups having similar initial
classifications. This demonstrates the
effectiveness and suitability of the newly
implemented extracurricular programs.
