Abstract

Photosynthesis of photoautotrophic organisms has created almost all organic substances on earth, ATP chemical energy to maintain the life of organisms and conditioning the atmosphere by absorbing CO₂ and releasing O₂. Classical physics did not explain the mechanism of photosynthesis. Why the energy transfer efficiency of photosynthesis reaches nearly 100%?. How is the almost instantaneous transport time of exciton to the photosynthetic reaction center equal to 10^-3 s? Quantum field theory has satisfactorily explained the exciton transport efficiency carrying excitation energy in photosynthesis and the exciton transport time to the photosynthetic reaction center by the quantum coherence and the quantum tunneling effect
