Abstract

On November 24th 1946, at the first National Culture Conference, President Ho Chi Minh said that: “Culture lights the way for the national citizen to go” [17, p. XXV]. Exactly 75 years later, the National Cultural Conference on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, taking place in Hanoi, is an important event in order to assess the results of building Vietnamese culture and people over the past 35 years have carried out the work of renovating the country as well as proposing directions and tasks for cultural and artistic work in the new period of the country. This article emphasizes the following major points: first, summerizes basic contents of the National Cultural Conference taking place in November of this year; second, systemizes perspectives of President Ho Chi Minh and our Party on culture through the historical stages of Vietnam's revolution; third, highlights Ho Chi Minh's political culture - the foundation and orientation for sustainable development of Vietnamese culture
