SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED ENTERPRISE SECTOR’S LABOR IN VIETNAM IN THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0

Abstract

At the present time, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in our economy, creating jobs and maintaining the low unemployment rate in Vietnam over the years. Accordingly, SMEs are increasingly contributing to national budget. The development of Vietnamese SMEs is always unstable and easily affected. One of the causes of this situation arises from the issue of SMEs’ workforce. This paper focuses on analyzing and evaluating on labor’s quantity, qualification and income in SMEs sector’s labor in Vietnam through survey data from 2016-2018 untill now. Upon the foundation of the above research results and the requirements of labor issue in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the author proposes the main solutions with the aim of enhancing labor quality in SMEs at Viet Nam
