ANALYSIS OF RISK FACTORS FOR VIETNAMESE UNDOCUMENTED MIGRANT WORKERS IN THAILAND, (CASE STUDY OF HA TINH PROVINCES)

Abstract

The article deals with cross-border migration of people in some Ha Tinh coastal communes, working without labor contracts in Thailand. Because they are not recognized by law, they often face to many social risks. With a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews techniques, the article aims to describe undocumented migrant workers. Find out motivation for moving to Thailand, identify the risk factors of working conditions, living conditions and legal conditions in Thailand. Research results are classified and commented on in three groups of working conditions, living conditions and legal conditions. Conclusion towards suggesting for research on policy, recommendations for the group of Vietnamese undocumented migrant workers in Thailand
