Policies to support capital mobilization activities of FinTech companies: International experience and implications for Vietnam
Abstract
In the era of Industry 4.0, FinTech (Financial Technology) has become a rapidly growing trend, fundamentally transforming how financial services are provided globally. However, capital mobilization remains a significant challenge for FinTech companies, particularly in emerging markets such as Vietnam. Using the method of overview and analysis of research documents, this article provides an overview of FinTech companies, their services, standard methods of capital mobilization for FinTech companies, and government policies supporting capital mobilization in the FinTech sector. Additionally, the paper summarizes international experiences regarding policies that support capital-raising activities of FinTech companies in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Based on this, the article offers several recommendations to improve the legal framework, establish a Sandbox environment for FinTech testing, and provide tax incentives for capital raising activities of FinTech companies in Vietnam.
