Factors affecting green transformation decisions in logistics enterprises: Empirical research in Vietnam
Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing the decision to adopt green transformation in Vietnamese logistics enterprises. Data was collected from 217 logistics companies from February 2024 to November 2024. Data analysis methods employed include reliability testing, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that awareness of the benefits of green practices, cooperation with suppliers, government policies and regulations, and technological capacity of enterprises have a positive impact on the decision to adopt green transformation in Vietnamese logistics enterprises. Based on these findings, the study proposes recommendations to promote green transformation in Vietnamese logistics enterprises. For state management agencies, it is necessary to complete a synchronized legal framework, encourage businesses to apply green solutions through financial and non-financial policies, and raise awareness of environmental protection in the industry. For logistics enterprises, it is necessary to invest in clean energy, advanced technology, and strengthen cooperation and raise awareness of the benefits of green logistics for sustainable development and business competitiveness
