ABSTRACT
Oral presentation skills are considered one of the most important proficiencies needed for higher education
and future careers. In the context of the current complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, both online
presentation and in-class presentation are in use with certain benefits and drawbacks. Thus, the present
study is interested in comparing students’ experience between online presentation and in-class presentation.
Participants were 129 students from different classes enrolled in the summer semester, academic year 2020-
2021 at Vietnam National University, International school (VNU-IS). Results showed that students highly
recommended online presentation in terms of its flexibility, its limit on personal trait weakness, its time
management support, its score and its preparation. However, it was also undeniable that advantages of
online presentation over in-class presentation were to improve presentation skills, cause fewer unintended
incidents, and help presenters interact with the audience.
