The use of cases in practice to build situations in the teaching of the Criminal Law module now plays a very important role to help law students master knowledge and practice debating skills. This is also a way of teaching in a way that promotes the activeness, initiative and creativity of students, towards the activation and activation of students’ cognitive activities. Lecturers play the role of guiding, suggesting, organizing, helping students find and discover new knowledge by themselves in the form of debate and group discussion. For the Criminal Law module – a highly practical subject that requires regular updates – the author will discuss some content related to the application of sentence-based teaching methods to build situations combined with group discussion methods to improve the quality of teaching the Criminal Law module in Law training.
