THE IMPACT OF GREEN SPACES ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH OF LECTURERS AND STUDENTS IN THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AT TAN TRAO UNIVERSITY
Abstract
This paper examines the impact of green spaces on psychological well-being at Tan Trao University, focusing on stress reduction, improved concentration, and enhanced happiness while also proposing measures to improve green spaces. The study is based on a survey of 712 individuals, including 87 faculty members and 625 students, along with an analysis of theoretical frameworks and relevant literature. The results show that 85.7% of respondents have access to green spaces, with 78.6% reporting that green spaces enhance their happiness and 82.9% stating that green spaces help reduce stress. However, the green spaces at the university still have limitations in terms of distribution, density, and design. The study recommends expanding the scale of green spaces, improving design, raising awareness, and establishing an effective management mechanism to optimize the benefits of green spaces for health and education quality.
