VICTOR PELEVIN – WRITER OF NEW ERA

Abstract

Victor Pelevin is one of the post-modern Russian writers on the list of the 1000 most influential figures of modern culture, voted by French Magazine of France. However, his name and his works are not well known in Vietnamese readers. This article thus introduces the most basic information about Victor Pelevin and his works. The results were obtained by synthesizing articles about Victor Pelevin in magazines, literature. Victor Pelevin began publishing his first short story in 1989 and constantly releasing new works. According to a survey on OpenSpace.ru in 2009, the writer was recognized as the most influential intellectual of the Russian Federation. His works reflect a diverse range of topics on history and social reality, about the world of insects and animals, about freedom ... In Victor Pelevin there is a tradition of creating from A. Chekhov in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Basic information about Victor Pelevin is meant as a summary study, as a reference for further studies on him as well as on contemporary Russian literature.
